Parental Requirements

Co-op is a lot of work, but you get back what you put into it. The rewards of our work are many. Intangible benefits include social activities, a support network of people in similar positions, and friends you can really count on. Parental requirements are:

  • New family orientation (2+ hours)
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid training and certification
  • Weekly shift work (4+ hours)
  • Emergency back-up shift duty (varies depending on membership)
  • New family fee ($200) and monthly dues ($140)
  • Monthly General Meeting (2-3 hours)
  • Babysitting during General Meeting (varies depending on membership)
  • Active participation on one committee per parent per household (time varies)
  • Weekend Cleaning Rotation (varies depending on membership, 1-4 hours per time)
  • Two work parties per year (4 hours each)
  • Shift worker trainings (2 hours each, 2-4 times per year)
  • Special events (potlucks, fundraising, workshops, etc.)
